On average, 1 in 4 Roma respondents were victims of personal crime – including assaults, threats and serious harassment – at least once in the previous 12 months. 1 in 5 Roma respondents were victims of racially motivated personal crime at least once in that period.

By 2030, 16% of Slovakia's under-18s will be Roma, according to a study by the Open Society Foundation Bratislava. 2010-02-26Czech Education Ministry to add tens of millions of crowns to support for Romani pupils
This year authorities will distribute a total of CZK 64 million through subsidy programs for these purposes. More than CZK 14 million, for example, will go to making sure more Romani children attend nursery schools, or toward preparing Romani pupils for middle school.
